The Two Trees

The Two Trees - the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil - have been hiding in plain sight. This course is an invitation to see them and, in seeing them, to discover how God has always taught His people to perceive His world rightly and participate in it fruitfully. As we trace the Trees from Genesis to Revelation, we'll discover how God designed perception and participation to work together and how Christ restores what sin tore apart.

Scripture itself contains a foundational, pervasive, coherent narrative that both mandates aesthetic engagement and guards against its distortions. The Two Trees are the unifying thread that previous writers have gestured toward but never fully traced. This book provides the biblical-theological foundation for the aesthetic turn in the church, showing that verbal-aesthetic integration is not a modern innovation but God's own pedagogy, established in Eden and traced through Scripture to New Jerusalem.
